The existing kitchen at this McClean home suffered from poor circulation caused by a pinch-point with the cabinets and peninsula. Renovations focused on opening up the circulation by going to an island layout and redistributing the cabinets for a wider kitchen. Also added to the renovation wishlist was a front porch addition, which would provide the only sheltered outdoor space for the home. To stitch the two spaces together a large awning window was added to create a pass-through for easier entertaining.
